Butterfly Volunteer

Butterfly Volunteers help support and enhance the lives of Crescent Cove kids, families, and staff by making and serving delicious and nutritious meals when there is a need. This volunteer position will assist in managing the Home whenever there is a family staying overnight with us, helping to assure they feel welcomed and at home. Butterfly Volunteers work closely with the Kitchen Manager to ensure our Home and kitchen retains a clean, safe, and hospitable environment for our kids and families to reside in.

Volunteer Requirements

Applicants must complete a short interview with our Kitchen Manager to discuss the role, and provide information regarding personal interest and background. Acceptance
into the Meal Program is contingent upon applicant’s experience, skill, and interview. Butterfly Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age. In addition, individuals must pass a Net Study 2.0 background check, attend one in-person orientation, and complete two required mentored shifts. Butterfly Volunteers who volunteer more than 10 hours a week must complete and pass a TST (Tuberculin Skin Test). Flu and COVID-19 vaccines are not required.
