Mary Gaasch
Executive Director
Mary Gaasch joined Crescent Cove in 2024 as our Executive Director. She grew up in Minneapolis and Fargo, North Dakota, and studied English at the University of St. Thomas. Before joining Crescent Cove, Mary spent 27 years at Hammer Residences/NES, where she began as a direct care assistant and ultimately served as Director of Advocacy. She is also the Mayor of Lauderdale and a master naturalist, bringing experience in governance, advocacy, and a deep connection to the natural world to her work at Crescent Cove. Drawn to Crescent Cove by its beautiful mission and work, Mary is passionate about leading a place she describes as a lovely sanctuary filled with joy.
Outside of work, Mary enjoys reading and spending time with her husband, Matt, their children Ash, Louie, and Lloyd, their beloved dogs and their many chickens.
