Music Therapy in Pediatric Palliative Care
Keynote Speaker: Cheryl Dileo, PhD, MT-BC
Songs accompany us and tell the stories of our lives. They have a powerful influence on our bodies, thinking, memory, emotions, social interactions, and spirituality. Because of this, songs are used to address clinical goals in music therapy in many ways through singing, listening, composing, and improvising. Using lecture, video, case examples, and music experiences, the role of songs in pediatric palliative care will be highlighted.
