Celebrating Resilience: Highlights from our Middle School Sibling Retreat

Crescent Cove's inaugural Middle School Sibling Retreat was a day filled with connection, creativity, and exploration—all centered around our theme of resilience.

We kicked off the retreat by setting group expectations and diving into what resilience means. Through journal prompts, stories, and art projects, our middle schoolers reflected on perseverance and strength, demonstrated through butterfly and flower activities. We also spent time sharing about our families and the special ways they cherish their Crescent Cove sibling.

The day’s adventures took us to Richardson Nature Center, where we explored the outdoors through a scavenger hunt and discovered two resident birds. In the afternoon, we took part in a Maple Syrup Event, learning firsthand about the process of making syrup and maple sugar. Everyone had the chance to drill, tap, and taste the sap as it transformed into syrup and sugar—a truly sweet experience!

With sunshine and warm weather on our side, we wrapped up the retreat with trail walks and time in the nature playground. Our group worked together to build an impressive fort, demonstrating teamwork and creativity.

A heartfelt thank you to the families who entrusted us with their middle schoolers for the day. It was a privilege to spend time with such an amazing group, and we can’t wait for the next retreat!
