Our annual “Back to School” family event has a new name—the End of Summer Bash—but the joy, connection, and laughter remained the same! Earlier this month, dozens of Crescent Cove family members gathered at our Home to celebrate the season, the sunshine, and the gift of being together.

The afternoon started with entertainment from the Plymouth School of Rock, whose talented young musicians filled the air with energy and fun. Families also had the chance to meet some very special animal guests: two llamas (Frank, who loved people-watching, and his friend who preferred crunchy carrots), a gentle therapy horse, several therapy dogs, and even Franklin the therapy duck! Each animal brought smiles and comfort in their own unique way.

No celebration is complete without delicious food, and our friends at Pizza Karma served up mouthwatering options from their food truck, followed by ice cream treats from Blue Moo Ice Cream.

For many, the evening was also a meaningful time of connection. Staff spent time visiting with parents whose children had passed, as well as families whose children we would be seeing soon at upcoming respite stays. These heartfelt conversations remind us that Crescent Cove is more than just a place—it’s a community of love, support, and belonging.

We’re deeply grateful to all who joined us in making it such a special day, and to our families who came to our Home for this annual event!
