At Crescent Cove, the dream of creating a peaceful and calming space for our families has been a long-standing goal of the Garden Committee. A water feature—something serene that would invite reflection and tranquility—was always part of the vision. Last year, this dream started to take shape when the committee put together a landscaping plan for the front of the Home, with hopes of incorporating a new, improved water fountain. But like many large projects, the challenge of funding seemed daunting.

The first step toward realizing this vision came when our Garden Committee member, Janet, reached out to Brian of Rockheads Landscaping. Brian's response was immediate and deeply personal.

"I almost lost my son when he was 19 years old," Brian shared. "And I myself survived a terrible car accident where I went through the windshield. We’re both incredibly lucky to be here, and even luckier to be working side by side in this business."

Moved by the mission of Crescent Cove and the families we serve, Brian and his son Marcus dove into the project with heartfelt dedication. They planned the new waterfall, hand-selected every boulder, and gathered the necessary supplies—all while offering their services at a significantly reduced cost to support our Home.

The building process became an event in itself. Children staying at Crescent Cove for respite care often came outside, mesmerized by the activity. Some of the children helped test the accessibility of the waterfall, ensuring that those in wheelchairs could feel the cool, soothing water as it cascaded over the rocks.

The result of Brian and Marcus’s labor is more than just a beautiful feature in our garden—it’s a symbol of resilience, community, and healing. The waterfall is serene, calming, and a reflection of the peace we strive to offer all who visit Crescent Cove.

This special addition to Crescent Cove’s garden will continue to bring joy, peace, and connection to all who come here, and we are grateful to Brian and Marcus who made it possible.
